Quick post

It is 3:30 in the afternoon here (6:30 in the morning there) and I just left school. I have not had time yet to read your comments / questions to answer them. I'm headed to a meeting and then a dinner so by the time I get back you will be half way through the day. The students here have asked a lot of questions about you guys. They want to know about bullying and racism. They have asked if you date and if you all drive. I have tried to answer all of their questions honestly - but if any of you have a good answer, especially about racism and bullying - please put them in the comments so I can pass it on. They love the photos I took of you guys and they think it would be very cool to just hang out. They speak quite good English so you would be able to talk about all sorts of things. Here is a photo of one of my classes today.

  1. 4th period class: Yes, most of us do date and drive but not all of us. Is there bullying there in the Republic of Georgia?

  3. 5th period class: Yes, there can be a lot of bullying and racism here but we are working on minimizing these issues. Questions to them... Yes, most of us drive. We drive on the right side of the road. Do you drive on the right or left? And do you use social media? Are the legal age limits different (driving, drinking, etc...) than the laws here?

  4. 6th period class: Our school is racially diverse. Therefore, we come across some racial issues. Is your school racially diverse? What issues do you come across in your school?

  5. 7th period class: Many schools here in America have a high teenage pregnancy rate. Is that an issue in the Republic of Georgia? Also, we want to know what types of snack food you have there and are you allowd to eat in class?
